Bible stories

Each story is the Bible passage itself, set out to read from start to finish, with a short explanation and a quiz.

How the stories are set out

Every story is the Bible passage from beginning to end, broken into short parts with a heading each, so you can find your place again. A switch at the top changes the whole page between the World English Bible and the King James Version. Where a story spans several chapters or two Gospels, each part is labelled with its source.

After the text comes a short note on the passage and the questions people most often ask about it, then a quiz of a few questions with the verse behind each answer. The key verse of each story can be saved as a wallpaper, and the full chapters are one tap away in the KJV reader.

Frequently asked questions

Are these the real Bible text or a retelling?

The real text. Each story is the passage itself, in the World English Bible by default or the King James Version with one tap, set out as prose with headings. Nothing is paraphrased; the short explanation sits beside the text rather than replacing it.

Are the stories suitable for children?

They are the Bible passages, so they read at the level of the translation. The WEB reads more easily than the KJV for younger readers, and the quiz at the end is short enough to do together.

Why do some stories cover more than one chapter?

Because the story does. Noah runs from Genesis 6 to 9, and the Christmas story joins Luke and Matthew; each page shows where every part comes from.
